Access Perimeter Staff Applications From Off Campus (Without Logging Into The Network)


VPN Instructions

  1. Go to https://vpn.perimeter.org/sslvpn_download.shtml
  2. Click on the download button under Windows or Mac option
  3. You will be redirected to the login page to type in your network username/password
    • Leave the domain as perimeter.org

Windows VPN Installation

  1. It is going to redirect to the first page again and click the download button again
  2. After the software installs, click Open File
  3. Go through the installation
    • Click Yes when User Account Control window pops up
    • Click Next throughout the installation
    • Click Install when a window asking about “Would you like to install this device software”
    • Make sure the checkbox is checked at the end – Launch WatchGuard Mobile VPN
    • The WatchGuard Firebox SSL window will show up after the install is done

Mac VPN Installation

  1. Open the .dmg file that was installed
  2. Open the .mpkg file that is inside the .dmg file
  3. Go through the installation process and it is going to ask you to type your username and password for the computer (should be the same as your network credentials)
  4. The app should show up in Launchpad or Finder/Applications folder
  5. When opened, the WatchGuard icon should show up at the top right of the screen
  6. Click Connect and type in the information
  7. Server – vpn.perimeter.org; your network username and password

Post-Installation Settings

Windows

  • Click on the carrot (up arrow) on the bottom right and you should see the WatchGuard icon
  • Right-click and click Properties and check the box to launch on startup
  • To reopen the app, the software is listed under WatchGuard in the start menu (if you do not see it)

MacOS

  • Click on the Watchguard icon at the top right
  • Right-click and click Properties and check the box to launch on startup
  • To reopen the app, open Launchpad or Finder/Applications folder (if you do not see it)

Updating Your Password When Off Campus

Windows

  1. Ctrl+Alt+Delete on the keyboard and click Lock while connected to VPN
  2. Sign in with your new password

MacOS

  1. Click the Apple icon on the top left and click lock while connected to VPN (Keyboard shortkey - CMD+Ctrl+Q)
  2. Sign in with your new password
